Your Garden’s Last Hoorah

by Elyse Umlauf

It’s almost that time of year. One morning you’ll hear that the first frost is coming. You’ll rush out to do a last-minute harvest to rescue the supersized zucchini and pull out fistfuls of herbs.

1. Donate.  Many food pantries welcome donations of fresh produce. Find a pantry here.
2. Same tomato next year. If you grew an especially tasty tomato, save your seeds so you can experience that same joy next summer. Here’s how!
